How does the selection process work?
- Applicant resumes will be screened by a selection committee comprising of senior Directors from Emaar.
- Resumes will be short listed based on the applicant's academic record, work experience and personal achievements.
- Short listed candidates will be invited for a panel interview and a psychometric test.
- The selected candidates will be advised in writing and the first batch will attend management program scheduled in March 2006.
What criteria will be used to select candidates for this program?
Candidates must have the following: - A recognised degree/higher diploma with a good academic track record.
- Each of these programs requires a certain participant profile, typically between 4 to 10 years of management experience. The nature and depth of experience will influence the selection of the candidates and the type of program that they are nominated for.
- A valid passport and the ability and willingness to travel and live overseas, at short notice, for the prescribed course duration.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.

Which program will I be nominated for?
Based on your education background and management experience profile, successful candidates will be nominated to attend any one of the following programs: The decision on the program to be attended will be made by Emaar based on the best interests of the selected candidate.
How long is the program?
Selected candidates will attend a management program which will last for a period of anything between 2 to 10 weeks, depending on the structure of the course that they are nominated for. All programs are residential and will be conducted overseas.
What type of training will we receive? What will I be learning?
Depending on the program selected, successful candidates will benefit from a combination of the following: - A refresher in management skills and the ability to create value for the organization that they are employed in
- Personal behavioral competency growth
- Greater understanding of international markets
- Build an international network of contacts and interact with like-minded executives with highly tuned strategic and analytical skills
- Broadening of leadership capabilities

What can I expect from the content of the program? What type of training will I receive? What will I be learning?
Participants in these programs can expect to be exposed to the latest trends in everything from interpersonal skills to global leadership, from wellness to managing work-life balance, and from leading in a crisis to situational leadership. These management development sessions add insights and grow skills that will serve participants throughout their careers. Participants learn to lead with impact, inspire individuals and build organizations. The design of these courses will provide you with a fixed number of weeks of rigorous, no-nonsense learning. The pace is fast, the content broad and deep, the interactions among peers and faculty intense. You will develop your own customized plan for leadership learning and the modules will combine classroom teaching with individual coaching sessions, assessment feedback, team exercises, personal learning plans, personal coaching, peer coaching and an end of program action planning session. What costs will be reimbursed as part of this program?
This will be a fully sponsored program. This implies that Emaar will pay for the cost of your course tuition, your stay on campus or in accommodation as advised by the institute, your expenses on travel to and from the course and a stipend towards your incidental costs on living expenses.
Do I have to leave my current job to attend this program?
The time duration for this program will vary between 2 to 10 weeks of overseas education, depending on the program selected for you. In the case of the longer duration programs (10 weeks), the course is split across two modules of 5 weeks each, with a 6 months gap between them. It is expected that you would be able to apply for leave of absence from your existing job to attend this program. The responsibility for making this arrangement with your employer, will be left with you as a participant of this program. Emaar is not linking this sponsorship to any offer of employment and will not compensate your departure from your existing place of work.
Will I have any liability to Emaar after attending this program?
On successful completion of this program, the candidate is not liable for any conditions or restrictions pertaining to employment by Emaar.
