Emaar opens its skate park at Hayya! Springs Village
Dubai, June 8, 2006: As part of Emaar’s ongoing community initiatives, the property major celebrated recently the opening of its skate park at the Hayya! Springs Village by organizing a two day fun-filled event featuring skating competitions for children of all ages as well as activities for the whole family including a DJ, face painting and much more.
Over 70 entries were received for the competitions with prizes like BMX bikes, skate boards and the latest trendy gear. The opening was sponsored by Emaar Properties and Mountain Dew.
“The event was a success for both our residents and guests. It was a good opportunity to introduce Hayya!, Emaar’s fitness, gym and health club brand which was first launched at The Meadows and The Springs and we look forward to announcing new community projects soon,” said Layne Redman, Hayya! Springs Village General Manager, Emaar Properties.
The skate park has four ramps of various sizes and gradients with mounds and benches added to act as street obstacles as well as two half pipes. It can accommodate up to twenty skaters at a time and also include space for non skaters to watch. The skate park is for residents within Emaar communities with members of the Hayya! Clubs gaining free entry. Charges for guests are AED 15 at the weekend and AED 10 during the week. The skate park is open from 6am to 10pm daily.
