Dubai, UAE, December 26, 2006: Emaar Properties celebrates three years of its successful roll-out of Dubai Marina, the first of its kind waterfront development in the region, by offering easy home finance solutions for its up-and-coming projects.
Emaar has six residential clusters in Dubai Marina of which three - Majara, Al Sahab and the Dubai Marina Towers – have been completed and the keys handed over to buyers. Construction is ongoing for The Marina Promenade, Marina Quays and Park Island.
Emaar is looking forward to welcoming the new owners at The Marina Promenade, which has a January 2008 completion date. Through a tie-up with three financial institutions – Amlak Finance, Mashreqbank and RAKBank – Emaar is offering easy home finance options to own a dream home on The Marina Promenade, Marina Quays and Park Island. The finance offer is valid throughout December 2006.
“Dubai Marina is one of the most picturesque residential developments in Dubai offering residents great views of the Arabian Sea,” said Bahiya Kayed, Assistant Director of Sales, Emaar Properties. “The project particularly appeals to marine enthusiasts, who will find the amenities favourable to pursue their pastimes such as yachting and sailing.”
Dubai Marina is a 3.5 km development and has an 11 km marine frontage. With calm waterways, the project will have five marinas with clean, modern berths that can handle over 500 vessels including powerboats of 20 ft to 100 ft and sailing boats of 30 ft length. The East Marina Stage One with 120 berths and East Marina Stage Two with 60 berths have been completed. Yacht Club Marina with 135 berths, West Marina with 115 berths and Marina Mall with 60 berths will be completed next year.
The Dubai Marina Motor Yacht clubhouse will also open next year offering an array of marina-related services to members. The elegant clubhouse will feature restaurants, a marine retail shopping arcade, international yacht sale and brokers offices, ships chandlery and nautical gifts store, yachting fashion boutique, charter office and boating school. Membership will be open to boat owners and other patrons.
A most-modern boat repair facility, to spread over 10,000 sq m, is scheduled to open next year. A modern spray paint shed, rigging shed, administration offices, truck access for boat launching and boat access to the sea are facilities that will be built during 2007. Once fully operational, tradesman will perform boat lifting and launching, storage and berthing, wash down, antifouling, spray painting, boat building, fiberglass repairs, repair and sales of diesel and outboard engines and marine electrical repairs.
“From the marinas at Dubai Marina, it takes only two minutes for boat owners to access the sea,” said Captain Joe Goddard, General Manger, Dubai Marina Motor Yacht Club. “Service is offered round the clock and members receive complimentary valet parking, transfers and weekly boat cleaning.”
Dubai Marina currently offers activities including a charter service of 45 minutes tours through the waterways, waterskiing and fishing excursions.
Dubai Marina has a cosmopolitan living environment with several dining out options, fitness facilities, children’s play areas, swimming pools, resort spas, games room, lounge facilities, sheltered parking, multipurpose lounge and landscaped gardens. Situated near the Dubai Internet City, Dubai Media City, Knowledge Village, the Emaar Business Park, American University in Dubai and Jebel Ali Free Zone, Dubai Marina enjoys a significant location advantage.
“Emaar’s residences at Dubai Marina are a varied mix of one- to five-bedroom apartments offering picturesque views of the marinas,” added Kayed. “The towers are an example of architectural brilliance reflected in their aesthetics and the spacious comfort offered.”
Investor response to Dubai Marina apartments has been overwhelming and a significant amount of the up-and-coming apartments already sold off. “There are a few remaining apartments at Marina Quays, Park Island and Marina Promenade, all of which have a distinctive design. Marina Quays, for example, extends 20 meters over the water offering a new lifestyle experience,” said Kayed.
Sprawling over 50 million sq ft, Dubai Marina comprises 10 districts each being developed as a distinct community. Apart from breathtaking views, residents can enjoy amenities like health clubs, eateries and 24-hour security and maintenance.
Emaar, the pioneer of master-planned communities in the UAE, has handed over more than 14,500 homes, many of them in Dubai Marina. Emaar’s other projects include the Arabian Ranches, Emirates Hills, The Lakes, The Springs, The Meadows, The View and Hattan Homes and the Downtown Burj Dubai. As part of its strategic Vision 2010, Emaar has recently expanded into international markets such as Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, Tunisia, Turkey, Libya, Syria, India and Pakistan.
